Typical Symptoms for a turnaround

Value Recovery engagements are executed in companies that suffer from a variety of causes such as economic downturn or simply business fatigue.

Common symptoms and classical tell-tale signs

  1. Low customer satisfaction stemming from disparate objectives and rivalry between departments.
  2. Too many underperforming products and services resulting from a poorly communicated strategy.
  3. Too much product focus whilst not taking into account the changing world where demand is King.
  4. Loss of common purpose and identity.
  5. Ask five managers what the company does, get five different answers back.
  6. Endless meetings, lengthy monthly reporting and yet little progress is achieved.
  7. Managers may work late but staff leaves early.
  8. Shareholder disagreements. Typically in family, Joint-Ventures or former State owned enterprises.
  9. Lack of vision and rejuvenation due to the departure of the founder or CEO.
These companies now face a situation where their offering becomes obsolete and they are in urgent need of a recovery engagement.

At the other extreme we have clients that ask us to recover value by liquidating the firm and returning cash to the shareholders. Obviously the earlier the recovery engagement starts the higher the likelihood of success and the recovered value will be.

This can be done by selling the firm or by asset disposal.

Our Recovery services are a wide spectrum of options from which our clients can choose.
