Ricard Ruiz de Querol
Ricard has a history of more than 25 years in senior management positions in the ICT sector (systems houses and telecoms).
He is innovation oriented, with excellent analytical and communication skills. Ricard is recognized as an expert in the development of the Information Society. Ricard has extensive experience working in multiple environments, including Business Development, Strategy and Corporate Development and Government Relations, requiring quick analysis of critical or unusual situations and the ability to devise effective proposals for rapid implementation. Ricard's communications skills have turned him into a person that is a master in getting things done. He started his career in AT&T Olivetti. Via a consulting position he moved on to Centrisa a systems house and soon was discovered by Telefónica where he made a fast career to the top of the Spanish telecoms company. Currently he works for organizations like Barcelona Media and is on the board of several companies. Ricard holds an Lic. degree in Physical Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma at Barcelona, a Ph.D in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Doctorate summa cum laude from the Open University Catalunya. In addition, during his corporate career he enrolled in many prestigious management courses like a PDG at the IESE business school. |
