Challenge
A $100m global software and services company with many new blue-chip directors was losing $1,000,000 a month due to an over ambitious expansion plan into Europe, the Far East and the US. Engagement The Cohen & Simons way was to quickly build a detailed financial model of the business thereby facilitating a unified and cohesive view of the business to emerge. This was in turn used to build profitable standard processes and to which incentivised service teams were attached. This we rapidly implemented across all 35 countries. In parallel a number of maturing side-line business were sold off and the proceeds were used as an additional source of finance for the core business during the “crisis recovery” programme. Sustainable Value Return to profitability within 9 months whilst retaining a 30% growth factor. |
